Henry  Grimshaw, Immigrated to Connecticut

and Married Julia Thompson

There were apparently two Henry Grimshaws - an early one in Massachusetts and a later one (Henry and Julia Grimshaw) in Connecticut. A third Henry Grimshaw, married Martha, was in Massachusetts and was probably the earlier Henry Grimshaw's son. This Henry and the Connecticut Henry were approximately the same age.

Henry, age 30 to 40, was living with his wife, 20 to 30, and 10 to 15 year old son and daughter less than five years old.

Henry Grimshaw, Hampden County, Massachusetts 

Henry was between 50 and 60 and was living with his 40 to 50 year old wife and one daughter between 10 and 15 years of age.

Henry Grimshaw, age 35, and his wife Martha, age 27, were living in Worcester County, Massachusetts with their 3-year-old daughter Julia A. Grimshaw. Henry was born in England; Martha in Connecticut. Daughter Julia was born in Massachusetts. Henry’s profession may be forger or lawyer - the entry is difficult to read.

The images of the two census records for Thomas and Henry are shown below in two sizes. Thomas H. (or W.) Grimshaw was a 27 years old deck hand from from Canada. Henry and his wife J.E. (probably Julia E) Grimshaw were 48 and 45 years old, respectively, and were living with their daughter, J.E. Grimshaw (age 15; probably Julia E also), sons J.N. and E.E. Grimshaw (ages 12 and 7), and daughter Elen M. Grimshaw (age 4). Henry was born in England, but the rest of the family were born in Connecticut.
